Spring 2024 @ Lehman College: The Whole Deal
February, March, April, May: Spring 2024 will forever be one of the most eventful semesters in the books. Definitely the most peculiar one, since I got married just one week before finals season. A visual representation of what is has all been will suffice, as I am in need of a break from writing, editing, and reading. Yes, even reading. Even though, as I am an innate bookworm, I will pick it up soon.
Some of the numbers achieved in four months at Lehman and five months (counting June) in my other projects:
3 public speakers in my first upperclassmen class (check syllabus for more info)
2 events led in conjunction with the School of Arts and Humanities (AMAKA workshops with Adaora Oramah, Jacob Nicholas, and Muna Mohamed)
2 ATLAS conferences coordinated by yours truly along with faculty committee
1 engagement to enjoy and 1 wedding to plan in less than 3 months
1 founders’ retreat for creative entrepreneurs with Antevasin
1 founders’ accelerator program from which I graduated from (Communitas)
1 fellowship to wrap up (NYC Fair Trade Coalition)
There are a few prospect roles on the horizon. All I can say is to stay tuned as well as follow my team and I’s work at FOTB. This summer will be dedicated to pick up some work left at FOTB, my fitness journey, and enjoying my time with my husband (wow, I have a husband!).
